Antwerp Beligium Things To Do

Antwerp is one of the sweetest places I have ever seen for couples looking to spend a romantic weekend together, and is positioned as an excellent day trip. One of our best places in Belgium is the birthplace of the thermal baths, home to the largest private spa in the world, the Royal Spa - Francorchamps, and the village next door hosts the annual Belgian Grand Prix.

One of Belgium's most famous places is Antwerp, a picturesque and quiet city with a rich history, beautiful architecture and one of Belgium's most popular tourist destinations. The two main tourist attractions of the city, the Royal Spa - Francorchamps, offer visitors the opportunity to see both the Old and the New Antwerp.

If you have a little more time to explore the city, there is plenty to do in Belgium outside Antwerp. If you want to avoid the crowds and prices of Brussels but still want to visit Belgium, we strongly recommend you to visit Antwerp. You can also see the many fantastic attractions that you can explore in Brussels, which is less than an hour's drive from Antwelp and can see for itself.

Here are a few you can add to your list if you only have a day in Antwerp, and here is a list of the best things to do in Belgium outside of Brussels. Take the time to meet the locals, taste some good Belgian food and learn more about the Antwelp diamonds.

One of my favourite things to do during the cold months in Antwerp is to visit one of the many independent bookshops. The shop is full of used books and has been the best bookshop I have visited in Antwerp for over two decades. Visitors to Antwerp should take a look at the AntwelpZoo, which is located directly in front of Antwerp Central Station. It is a nice thing to do in the middle of winter when the weather warms up a bit, and it is also a good time to take a walk around the city.

The café serves a wide selection of traditional Belgian beers, making it the perfect place to have a drink. Sit in one of the small restaurants and enjoy a cold, tasty Belgian beer with a glass of wine or even a bottle of your favourite beer.

If you want to discover these sweet delights, Antwerp also has the largest Belgian chocolate museum in the world. The Chocolate Shop in Antwerp is a charming mini-gallery, where glass shelves are decorated with chocolate pieces that look like elegant, shiny and expensive jewellery. Grab a waffle and try some of the Belgian specialities for a good lunch.

If you take a train from Antwerp Central Station, you will be impressed by how majestic the buildings really are. The medieval square in the heart of the city houses some of Belgium's most famous buildings, such as the Royal Palace and St. Peter's Cathedral. It is famous for its beautiful architecture and you can stay in the central square of Antwelp, which is also famous as a tourist attraction and great place to shop.

Situated close to many of Antwerp's main attractions, this luxurious hotel in Antwelp even has a rooftop terrace overlooking the cathedral. This mid-range hotel offers free Wi-Fi and is a good choice for guests with limited internet access.

Antwerp Centraal (also called Midden Statie, which means "middle station") is a must - visit Antwerp. If you do not arrive by train or bus like us, you will have to visit the main train station of the city, but you can also take the metro from the train station Meir to Rubensshuis, which you can visit by bus, train or even on foot from the main train station to one of the many museums and attractions in the area. Those who prefer to experience this city as a local should get off and take a bus or train to Antwelp if they do not travel by train. Ant Belgium also has a bike hire programme called Velo - antwerpen, so forget the bike and walk around the city to take a free bike ride to and from your destination.

One of the most famous tourist attractions in Belgium, located in the city of Dinant (Namur), is the Antwerp Centraal, one of the oldest and most popular museums in Belgium.

If you want to enjoy the best of Antwerp during the day, you must include the Onze Lieve Vrouwekathedraal and the Cathedral of the Lady in your itinerary. It is often said that there is only one thing to do in Antwelp in one day, and that is to make sure that you arrive or depart at Antwerp Central Station.

If you are looking for a vibrant destination in Western Europe that is easily accessible by train or plane, consider Anvers, also known as Antwerp or Antwelp. Not far from the cathedral is one of the best places in Ant Werp, and you can't leave Belgium without a chip with mayo. Breakfast is served in the famous Oude Kerk, a popular restaurant in the city centre with a wide selection of local dishes. Antwerp's cobbled streets and alleys offer a variety of vibrant destinations, some of which are easily accessible by train or plane.
